The lead mortgage consultant in our office, Mackenzie worked in banking for 4 years before transitioning to mortgage brokering in 2006. With her energetic and determined personality, Mackenzie works day and night to get our clients the absolute best mortgage terms possible.
A full time mortgage consultant since 2008, Kevin is also our office manager, graphics designer, website programmer, and tech support (i.e. Kevin is never short on things to do). With his background in business consulting and marketing, Kevin also manages our advertising campaigns and internet presence.
Lisa is a senior mortgage consultant and has been working in the industry since 2006. Starting as Mackenzie’s assistant and then passing the broker course and becoming licensed in 2009, Lisa has been an integral part of the team from the very beginning. Lisa focuses primarily on working with our clients to help them achieve their mortgage goals, but she also serves as a key support for our junior consultants when they’re faced with a challenging scenario and she fills in as the office leader when Mackenzie and Kevin are away.
Jenn is one of our senior mortgage consultants and a key part of our team. Joining us in 2015, Jenn began as an administrative assistant and then passed the broker exam in 2016. With her dedication to making her clients’ goals come true, Jenn seems to receive more flowers and thankyou gifts than anyone else in the office.
Breanna joined MG&A in the spring of 2019 as an Administrative Assistant before passing the brokerage course and becoming a Mortgage Consultant in 2021. With her calm and competent attitude, Breanna runs her own deals and also helps train new team members.
Thu joined our team in 2019 as an administrative assistant and became licensed as a mortgage consultant the following year. With her extensive background in bookkeeping and tax prep, Thu is super organized and has a knack for seeing how the numbers fit together.
Aundrea joined our team in 2021, and brings a wealth of banking and mortgage underwriting experience with her from past roles on the lender side. She is excited to broaden her knowledge of lending through the broker side and help clients find great fits with mortgage options from all the lenders across Canada.
As our receptionist extraordinaire, Shawnee is the first voice you’ll most often hear when you call our office. She coordinates our client appointments, assists with document management and keeps our lines of communication operating at top efficiency.
Originally from India, Gurmeet came to the Comox Valley to attend NIC and pursue his BBA. He then worked for a couple of years in both retail and banking before joining our team as an Administrative Assistant in 2021. A passionate soccer player and distance runner, Gurmeet brings extra language skills to our team with fluency in both Hindi and Punjabi.
John joined our team in 2021, and has past experience as both an automotive mechanic and an entrepreneur. In going through the home buying process himself in 2020, he was inspired to make a career change into mortgage brokering. John looks forward to helping all his Comox Valley friends and neighbours purchase their own homes in the coming years.
With past experience in banking and retail customer service, Matt joined our team in 2022 as an administrative assistant. He is also helping Mackenzie with producing our Social Media content and running our contests and prize giveaways.
Dana joined MG&A in 2022. She worked previously as a conveyencer for a notary office, where she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in handling the legal instructions for real estate purchases and refinances. Dana now brings her eye for details and organizational skills to bear for our clients to ensure documents are gathered and lender conditions are met in a timely manner.
Payton has been working on and off in our office since 2016 between her commitments to school and other jobs. She’s a great pinch hitter and can fill in at reception or with document scanning and inbox management when needed. Currently, her primary duties include coordinating our client gift deliveries, birthday and thank you cards as well as helping with data entry and deal auditing post closing.
