The instructions below cover downloading monthly eStatements, generating transaction histories for custom date ranges, and printing/downloading a Void Cheque.
Begin by logging into your Tangerine online banking at www.tangerine.ca
After logging in, you will be at the Overview screen with the ACCOUNTS.
E-Statements
You can easily download your monthly statements as PDFs. To download your account eStatements, click on any chequing or savings account and then click the Statements button under the account balance.
This will open the Documents page, where you can select the Statement Period (month) desired and then click below to download the PDF for each account needed.
Repeat for each Statement Period (month) needed.
If you are not able to see the account you need in the list, it’s likely because you are still configured to receive paper statements for that account. To change this setting, scroll down to the bottom of the Documents page and click the Delivery Options button.
In the popup window that appears, under the Statement Preference section ensure all accounts are set to Electronic.
Press the Done button to save your changes, then re-load the Documents page to see the new download options.
After you have downloaded the statements you need, you can switch back to Paper statements if you wish.
Custom Date Ranges
Unfortunately, Tangerine does not have a Custom Date search ability to show only transactions within a set date range.
You will have to use the monthly statements (instructions above) to show your transactions from all previous calendar months.
However, there are times when your mortgage consultant may need confirmation of your most recent transactions beyond the most recent monthly statement.
Begin by opening the bank account details page.
Click the Timeframe dropdown, and select the Last 30 Days option.
Click the small up arrow to the right of the Transaction Breakdown area to minimize this section.
Use your browser zoom settings to reduce the screen size until the transactions from the current month and the last day of the previous month fit on the screen without scrolling. This looks slightly different in each browser software, but here’s an example in Chrome
Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard (Prt Sc). This is usually located in the button group to the right of the F12 key, and you may need to press a Function key as well as the Prt Sc key if the print screen option isn’t the primary key function.
Depending on your version of Windows, this may directly open the Print dialog box and allow you to print or Save as PDF, or it may allow you to click and drag to select the area of the screen you wish to capture. If the latter happens, please click and drag to select the entire webpage from the Tangerine logo in the top left down to the very bottom right of the browser window. This will copy the image to your Windows Clipboard. Next, open WordPad or another document editor and Paste the image into a document and save it.
Repeat the above steps for each bank account (chequing, savings, etc) requested by your mortgage consultant.
Once you have all custom date range pages printed or saved for the required accounts, please send them and your electronic monthly statements to your mortgage consultant.
VOID Cheque
If your mortgage consultant has requested a VOID cheque for one of your Tangerine accounts, open the ACCOUNT DETAILS page and select the Void Cheque button.
A new browser tab will appear showing your account information and a graphic of a cheque. Use your browser’s Print function to either print it to paper or if your browser allows, use the printer destination dropdown to choose to Save as PDF.
Sending us your documents
If you were able to save all your documents as PDFs, you can use our File Uploads portal to upload your PDFs directly to our server quickly and securely. The uploads portal page is password protected, so please ask your mortgage consultant for the access instructions.
Also, please ensure you have included your first and last name in the filenames for files you are uploading so our admin team can properly assign them to your mortgage consultant for review.
