Effective immediately (March 16, 2020) and until further notice, our office will be conducting all mortgage consultations and appointments by phone and collecting all documentation digitally.  We have chosen to take these steps in order to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 through our community and to protect the health of our staff, our clients and their families.

Thankfully, we have been investing in technology over the years and already have all the tools in place to allow our team to work with our clients and each other remotely.  We have a file upload portal set up for Digital Document Uploading, and a VPN system to allow our staff to use secure laptops and work from home.  If you do not have a scanner at home and are wondering how to create digital documents, there are several options available using your smartphone, tablet or computer – please take a look at our Creating Digital Documents from Home page for more details and helpful suggestions.

At this time we are still learning whether and how the mortgage industry is going to be affected at large, and also how individual mortgages for purchases and refinances scheduled to close in the next few weeks may be impacted.  As the situation unfolds through the coming week, our team will be here for you and if you have an active deal we will reach out to you directly with updates.

For any of our clients with existing mortgages, if you anticipate any financial challenges with making your mortgage payments please let us know and we can help you find answers on how your lender in particular can help.

You can reach us as you normally would, by phone at 250-331-0800 or email mgartside@comoxmortgages.com.
